20 Years of Life-saving Service
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the crew and personnel, both past and present, of the RNLI Kessock lifeboat on its 20th anniversary; understands that, in these 20 years, the volunteer crews have saved the lives of 33 people, launched 434 times and rescued 224 people who have found themselves in difficulty in the waters of the Moray Firth; recognises that the lifeboat first started life as a trial operation on 5 June 1993, before becoming a permanent fixture; commends the crews both past and present for their hard work and dedication, and looks forward to the next 20 years.
