Royal Engineers Help with Disaster Relief
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the essential work that the men from 24 Commando Engineer Regiment are doing in the Philippines; notes that, due to their specialist skills in combat engineering, they are able to build showers, provide sanitation, supply electrics and build bridges and tunnels, and understands that, in collaboration with Royal Navy personnel who have skills in electrics and mechanics combined with the Army personnel with skills in construction and artisan engineering, they are proving highly effective on the ground.
