Lothian Buses 25-year Passenger High
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lothian Buses on achieving a 25-year high of 115.4 million passengers in 2013, up 4.6 million on the previous year; notes the growth in ridacard sales, Edinburgh Bus Tours and the Nightbus service and that this follows on from Lothian Buses winning the Best Green Large Company award in 2012, and considers that this shows that a well-run publicly owned bus company that increasingly uses low emission and hybrid power across its fleet presents an increasingly attractive means of getting around Edinburgh.
