Congratulations to The Broomhouse Centre
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Broomhouse Centre in Edinburgh on winning the public vote on STV East for the People’s Millions 2014; understands that, as a result, it will receive a £48,396 grant for its training and healthy eating programmes; understands that its Café Training project will provide a number of young people with accreditation in cooking and catering skills to help them gain employment and that its meal voucher scheme will help it to achieve its aim of being a welcoming place for everyone in the community to enjoy a warm meal; commends the achievements of the staff in founding and developing the centre, and recognises what it considers the incredible efforts of all those involved in the project and its efforts to secure funding.
