£3,550 Gift to Angus District Nursing Service
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent gift of over £3,500 to the Angus District Nursing Service from the charity, Lippen Care; considers that this will greatly benefit those who rely on this service in Montrose, which is in the Angus North and Mearns parliamentary constituency, as it will fund the purchase of four syringe pumps that enable medicines to be given under the skin; believes that these are often used to provide relief from symptoms in cancer care or palliative care; understands that these syringe pumps are a simpler and more comfortable way to administer medication for people who would otherwise need frequent injections or for those whose symptoms are difficult to control with tablets alone, and hopes that the pumps will improve the quality of life of patients.
