The 151st Turriff Show
The motion
That the Parliament looks forward to the 151st Turriff Show, which begins on 2 August 2015; notes that the annual agricultural gala is expected to be one of the busiest two-day farming events this year and attract thousands of visitors from across the country and from overseas; understands that this year's show has over 260 trade stands, ringside entertainment, home-based crafts and a flower show, dog shows, food fayre, sports and highland dancing as well as a funfair and a display from the Turriff and District Pipe Band; notes that the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food and Environment will attend, showing the support of the Scottish Government, and welcomes what it considers this fantastic agricultural event that provides huge benefit to the north east, as well as to Scotland as a whole.
