Scotland’s Ancient Capital Celebrates Rich History
The motion
That the Parliament looks forward to the inaugural Festival of Dunfermline, which is scheduled to be held from 12 to 13 September 2015; understands that it will take place in Pittencrieff Park and will transport visitors back to the 14th century with displays by Robert the Bruce’s armoured knights; believes that it will also commemorate both the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and the town's involvement in the Second World War; thanks all of the organisations that have donated their time and expertise to the festival, including Dunfermline Model Aero Club and The Clan cycling team, and congratulates Dunfermline First and Dunfermline Delivers on organising this celebration of Scotland’s ancient capital.
