Marking World Alzheimer's Day 2015
The motion
That the Parliament marks World Alzheimer’s Day 2015 on 21 September; notes that this is an annual event that brings together organisations across the world to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia; praises organisations, including Alzheimer Scotland, Marie Curie Scotland and NHS Scotland, for the work that they are doing to support those with dementia and their carers as well as raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia in Scotland; supports further work to tackle the stigma that can be associated with dementia, and highlights the importance of recognising the early signs of dementia.
