50th Anniversary of Cross Arthurlie Primary School
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Cross Arthurlie Primary School in Barrhead in East Renfrewshire will mark its 50th anniversary in November 2015; congratulates all of the teachers, staff and pupils who have contributed to the school’s proud service to Barrhead over the years; understands that Cross Arthurlie has been a part of the local community since the 1800s and moved to its current building in 1965; welcomes the events planned at the school to celebrate its golden anniversary; notes that the headteacher, Bryan McLachlan, has invited former staff and pupils to attend a special ceremony to mark the occasion and contribute stories and photos of the school’s history, and wishes Cross Arthurlie Primary School all the best for its 50th anniversary.
