Helping it Happen Award for Lucy Beattie
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the owner of the Leckmelm Estate, Lucy Beattie, on winning the Scottish Land and Estates’ Highland region Helping It Happen award; understands that Lucy won her award for her exceptional contribution to rural skills education in the community, which took the form of helping students at Ullapool High School to obtain Rural Skills Scottish Vocational Qualifications since 2007 and also running a course at West Highland College as part of its school link programme; further congratulates Lucy on her commitment to highlighting key issues; wishes her the best with her future endeavours, and appreciates the positive impact that she is having in her community.
