Congratulations to the Awards Network
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Awards Network on what it considers the positive findings of the Education Scotland report, A review of youth awards in Scotland: Helping young people to be successful, confident, effective and responsible citizens; understands that, since the network was established in 2008, there has been a welcome and significant growth in the participation in and completion of youth awards; believes that this has enabled young people across Scotland, including in the West Scotland region, to gain a wide range of skills that help build confidence, improve interpersonal relationships and lead to better team working, leadership and employability; understands that, for young people facing additional challenges, participation in youth awards can be life changing, and supports strongly the continuation of the network’s work, which it believes aims to encourage the recognition of young people’s personal and community achievements.
