Congratulations to Wick Academy FC
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Wick Academy FC on winning the 2015 North of Scotland Cup final, beating Nairn County 6-2; understands that this is the club's first trophy in senior football since joining the Highland League 21 years ago; commends the players, coaches, committee and supporters who it considers have made this cup success possible for Scotland's most northerly senior football team; applauds the approach that Wick Academy has taken in the Highland League, building what it considers strong teams that play attractive, passing football with local players dominating the squad; praises the estimated 1,000-plus supporters who cheered on the team at the final played at Brora’s Dudgeon Park, and wishes the club continued success in the future.
