Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Laura Burdin, who was an apprentice with Carnoustie Golf and Spa Hotel, on being named Modern Apprentice of the Year at the 2015 Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards; notes that the awards took place during a week of activity to promote, highlight and celebrate the importance of apprenticeships and work-based learning; acknowledges what is sees as the importance of modern apprenticeships in allowing young people in Scotland to learn new skills and build successful careers; commends all providers of modern apprenticeships and encourages more employers across Scotland to open up their businesses to apprentices, and wishes Laura and other apprentices the very best of luck in the future.
