The motion
That the Parliament notes the marking of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2015; understands that it promotes awareness and aims to mobilise support for issues relating to the inclusion of disabled people, outlining the benefits of an inclusive and accessible society for all; further understands that it has been commemorated since 1992; further notes that the theme for this year is access and empowerment for people of all abilities, and considers and regrets that disabled people still face substantial barriers to full inclusion in areas of transportation, employment and education as well as social and political participation.
