Bringing Nationalities Together
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the work done by the Daisy Street Church café in Govanhill, which it considers one of Glasgow's most multicultural communities; understands that around 90 residents of 15 nationalities have taken part in English for speakers of other languages sessions; congratulates the café on bringing together different nationalities and celebrating different cultures; believes that the café has provided local residents with valuable skills that will improve their everyday lives and provide residents with better employment opportunities, and hopes that the café continues to provide these sessions in 2016.
