Support for Flooding in the North East
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Asda on providing support to communities affected by the recent flooding in the north east; recognises the relief given through donations of food, clothing and cleaning equipment in the worst affected areas, and emergency supplies for people staying in the barracks in Ballater; welcomes the additional support given to emergency service workers and volunteers across the region; thanks the teams of Asda volunteers throughout the north east, including from Huntly; congratulates the increase in the Asda Foundation local disaster relief funds to £500,000 to help with the flooding, and wishes success in the endeavours of all involved.
