Co-op Funds Dunfermline Community Groups
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Co-op’s use of the 5p plastic bag levy to raise funds for over 800 community organisations across Scotland; understands that the Abbeyview Kids Club in Dunfermline received £2,500 and Tuesday Family Fun Night in Abbeyview received £1,500; commends these groups for winning support in a ballot in which thousands of people voted to recommend worthy causes; congratulates the Co-op on its transparency regarding the use of the 5p levy, and believes that these actions show the co-operative movement at its best.
