Carnegie UK Trust Reports on the Contribution of Public Libraries
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the publication of four new databases that show the impact of public libraries on key policy areas such as economic, education, culture and society; commends what it considers this useful advocacy resource, which will support the contribution that libraries continue to make to public wellbeing; considers that libraries do great work in tackling isolation and promoting health across all ages in the Dunfermline area; recognises how libraries can help enable small business to grow and fill gaps in formal education; thanks the Carnegie UK Trust for what it sees as its diligent work in advocating on behalf of libraries, and wishes it all the best with its task.
