Ryder Cup Triumph 2010
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the European team, captained by Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie, on regaining the Ryder Cup from the United States of America by 14½ points to 13½ in what it considers a thrilling contest held in Wales on the Celtic Manor course; applauds all of the players involved in what it sees as a tremendous victory for Europe, and looks forward to a similar result when the Ryder Cup is held in Scotland at Gleneagles in September 2014.
