Well Done Fife on Food for Life
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fife Council on being awarded the Soil Association’s Food for Life Bronze Award for menus offered to Fife primary school children; recognises the hard work of Fife Council’s Catering, Cleaning and Facilities team with Fife Diet and the Soil Association in making this possible; understands that the Food for Life Catering Mark recognises that what is on the menu is freshly prepared, is free from undesirable additives and is better for animal welfare; further understands that the award encourages recipients to use more fresh, seasonal, local and organic ingredients; celebrates what it considers to be an important achievement for Fife Council that ensures that Fife children are eating ethically sourced, sustainable, healthy meals at school, and wishes Fife Council every success in building on this achievement in the future.
