Big Hearts at Tynecastle as HMFC Commits to Living Wage

The motion

That the Parliament supports the decision by Heart of Midlothian Football Club to become a living wage employer; welcomes that the club will implement the living wage of £7.65 per hour for all employees including part-time and contract workers; congratulates Hearts on being the first football club in Scotland to become a living wage employer; considers that its registration with the Living Wage Foundation shows a well-founded commitment to paying the living wage, and calls on other football clubs, and other employers, in Edinburgh and throughout Scotland to follow this example.
