That the Parliament encourages the work of the Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership in support of the UN’s 16 Days of Action campaign; understands that there are thousands of events taking place around the world to mark the international campaign, which seeks to eliminate gender-based violence; notes the Hear Our Voices exhibition, which will be held in the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow and the Reclaim the Night Rally, which is being organised by Glasgow Rape Crisis; commends the 15 community groups across the city that have teamed up to establish the Celebration of Women event; understands that this will offer women health tips and provide world food and entertainment; believes that such groups play a vital role in tackling domestic abuse and dealing with issues regarding sexual consent, and hopes that the events will help to raise awareness and contribute to ending violence against women.
