The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) Know Where to Go campaign, which aims to help more people across Scotland access information, help and support for their mental health;  notes that SAMH research finds that one in five adults in Scotland do not know where to seek help for mental health problems and that people from black and minority ethnic (BME) communities often face additional barriers to accessing help for their mental health when they need it; welcomes the  launch of a new short film featuring Hardeep Singh Kohli, Shereen Nanjiani, Aamer Anwar and others to help more people from BME communities know where to go for help with their mental health; congratulates SAMH on what it considers its good work in continuing to address the mental health of Scotland’s communities, and hopes that members and the public will watch the Know Where to Go film and make use of SAMH’s resources to ensure that all communities are able to access information, help and support for their mental health when they need it.
