Scottish Maritime Museum, Irvine
The motion
That the Parliament notes that the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine has reopened after works to the roof of the Linthouse and renovations to the museum, which it considers makes it more interesting and inviting; recognises that the museum holds a varied collection of historic ships, shipbuilding machinery, lifeboats and many other maritime artefacts; considers that it makes an important contribution to Scottish maritime history, enhances tourism and contributes to the local economy, and congratulates all the volunteers and staff who it considers work hard to make the museum a pleasure to visit and the success that it is.
