Ocean Youth Trust Scotland 2014
The motion
That the Parliament notes that, in 2013, 650 young people sailed with the Greenock-based charity, Ocean Youth Trust Scotland; understands that its boats are now undergoing their winter refit so that they are shipshape for the 2014 season, in which it expects to organise 57 residential voyages; believes that these trips will provide an effective and exciting environment for both youth work and the personal development of 12 to 25-year-olds from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities; commends Ocean Youth Trust Scotland’s vision that all young people, regardless of circumstance or ability, should have the opportunity to realise their true potential, be able to live healthy and fulfilling lives and make a positive contribution to their community and society as a whole, and wishes Ocean Youth Trust Scotland happy sailing in 2014.
