Stranraer Singer Wins BBC Young Traditional Musician Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Robyn Stapleton from Stranraer on winning the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award for 2014; notes that, in achieving this, Robyn faced finalists from Fochabers, Bishopton, Tiree, Edinburgh and Kilchoan; believes that this exemplifies the depth of talent across the country; notes that she displayed what the head of BBC Radio Scotland called "that extra wow factor" to clinch the title, and wishes Robyn every success.
