Small Business Saturday
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Small Business Saturday, which is to be held on 6 December 2014, considered the busiest shopping day of the year; believes that small businesses are critically important in providing employment and driving growth in local communities; understands the crucial role that independent retailers play in local economies; congratulates the Federation of Small Businesses on encouraging members and the buying public to do as much of their festive shopping as possible in local businesses, and hopes that more will continue to do so all year round.
