Football Broadcaster, Arthur Montford
The motion
That the Parliament expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Arthur Montford, the voice of Scottish football, Honorary Vice President of Morton FC and legendary sports journalist and broadcaster who presented more than 2,000 episodes of Scotsport on STV for 32 years and believes that his loud jackets, famous catchphrases and his ability to enliven even the most mundane football matches will ensure that he will be remembered fondly by football fans right across Scotland for many years to come.
