Enable, Be The Change
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Enable Scotland on its campaign, Be The Change; notes that the campaign aims to tackle offensive language about people who have learning disabilities; understands that nine out of 10 people who have learning disabilities report that they have been bullied; condemns what it considers this detestable behaviour; believes that it is time to stand up for people who have learning disabilities and challenge the use of abusive language once and for all, and encourages everyone to support Enable’s campaign, which urges people to “don’t put up with it, don’t use it, let's lose it!”.
