Unsung Sports Hero
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates 16-year-old Ruaridh Hughes, from Ullapool, on winning BBC Radio Scotland's Sports Weekly Unsung Hero award for his achievements in running, coaching and fundraising for Lochbroom Shinty Club and offers support and appreciation to sports coaches throughout the country who turn out, unpaid and at their own expense, to coach young and old, elite and beginner, in good weather and bad, providing motivation, enjoyment, health and purpose to thousands of Scots in hundreds of sports.
