Seagull Trust Cruises

The motion

That the Parliament recognises that the Seagull Trust was founded in 1978 to provide cruises for disabled people of all ages, notes that, in 2007, the trust became known as Seagull Trust Cruises with the aim to extend its work across Scotland; understands that the service provides canal cruises for people with additional support needs; recognises that the fleet comprises purpose-built boats crewed by trained volunteers; commends the charity’s goal of providing a relaxing getaway for disabled people by providing an unforgettable experience among some of the country's most splendid scenery while enjoying the tranquility and calmness that it believes is unique to canal cruising; considers that such services for disabled people are not readily available elsewhere; notes that the charity relies on the generosity of donors; congratulates everybody involved with the trust, and wishes it, and its clients, well for the future.
