That the Parliament recognises the Royal Navy’s response to the people of the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan devastated the islands, killing around 4,000 people and displacing even more; notes that HMS Daring has been surveying the island with its Lynx helicopter in order to locate areas that are in need as well as delivering water, food and shelter to the people affected; acknowledges that HMS Illustrious is also en route to the Philippines in order to provide further Royal Navy aid in the region, and commends the quick response of the Royal Navy in easing the suffering in the Philippines and its further efforts to help get the islanders back on their feet.
