Paris Terrorist Attacks

Lodged by Christian Allard Standard Motion 65 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament condemns the Paris terrorist attacks that took place on 13 November, 2015; notes that this is the second atrocity to hit Paris in the space of a year and considers that this is more than any city should have to bear; considers that, although the scenes in Paris were horrific, the show of solidarity in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and in communities across Scotland was uplifting; understands that, once again, the people of Scotland have stood shoulder to shoulder with their friends and neighbours in France, and further considers that communities across Scotland came together in an extraordinary gesture of support for the people of Paris, demonstrating that their resolve will not be broken and that their diversity will always be their strength.
